Tom started and established My Yarn after a successful "having coffee with people" sales career with a number of real Australian companies. Afterwards he chased his dream of learning about the world and qualified as a three times Dean's Commendation Journalist at the University of Queensland, which was also followed by three years in PhD research that culminated in the book published by Springer Nature. Since then, Tom has been busy crafting messages and communications for a number of Presidents and Prime Ministers, corporations, among others.
Taking early retirement in the Fraser Coast region, Tom quickly immersed himself in the local community and everywhere he went with his Labrador "Flip", he found people who had stories to tell. Nearly all of those stories with all of those people resonated and Tom found that unknowingly all these people had so much to give with their stories. To honor the people and their stories, Tom founded My Yarn, to make sure every story is known and treasured.
Tom currently runs My Yarn with the support of his sweet partner Natalie, all under the supervision of his trusty Labrador, Flip.
